VMWare Virtual Center Upgrade 2.0 --> 2.5
I did a little more digging on the VMWare problem and the log states it has do with an issue when upgrading the performance data. In my case I felt that it wasn't that important so I selected not to keep performance data at the start of the database upgrade wizard. Unchecking the upgrade performance data did do the trick.
